The Cleantech principle: the ExSep.

From the point of view of the technology, the ExSep can be used for both thickening and treatment. To speed up the sedimentation process, it makes use of the relative inertia of the solid material in a hydraulic redirection process. The lighter organic content and colloidal fragments are separated in a further associated hydraulic process.

Gravity alone takes the wastewater through a feed pipe into the ExSep. There is a diffuser at the end of the pipe that is adjustable via a control program (PLC) and can adapt dynamically to the condition of the wastewater. All changeable marginal conditions of the wastewater can be programmed and controlled by prior calibration. The ExSep offers great flexibility in terms of throughput volumes, and can therefore be used in local community treatment plants with changeable daily input and additional overload from peaks caused by rainfall or external water infiltration.

This procedure delivers a very high level of purity in the clear water. The suspension on the container floor is thickened at the same time. The ExSep can be manufactured to various calibers (0.3m to 3.0m), covering a performance range for local community wastewater of 0.3 m³/h to 60.0 m³/h.
