In addition to industrial treatment plants, the Epuramat portfolio also includes plants suitable for local communities, with a population equivalent value of around 200 to over 100,000. Besides design and construction, Epuramat also offers a complete operating service.
Local community treatment plants designed by Epuramat are different from conventional solutions in that primary treatment is carried out by the ExtremSeparator (ExSep) developed by Epuramat, instead of the usual grease trap and sedimentation chamber. Due to the high efficiency of this technology (patent pending), there is much less demand on subsequent stages of purification, and the treatment plant can be simplified and reduced in size overall. This means lower investment costs and less maintenance when compared with traditional solutions like-for-like. Given that large sedimentation tanks are no longer required, space savings of up to 90% can be made. Project time is also reduced to just a few months. There are two reasons for this: one – there is no need for the huge cast sedimentation tanks; two – the modular construction of the Epuramat plants, which considerably reduces the amount of time scheduled for individual projects.
In addition to providing new treatment plant designs, Epuramat is also active in retrofitting and upgrading existing plants with the new technology. The modular ExSep technology can enhance the performance of individual overloaded treatment plants.
