The steel industry
The steel industry is well known for huge turnover and production volumes. In this highly competitive market, it is absolutely vital to make cost savings and maintain focus on the core business. In the steel industry, water is a commodity that is used in extremely high volumes, particularly for cooling and processing. Epuramat has successfully developed and trialed recycling systems for granulation, blast furnace, steel works and steel-mill applications.

The shipbuilding industry
Decentralized treatment systems for ships and yachts are a requirement of the shipbuilding industry. When designing water treatment systems for this sector, the lack of space, movement of the vessel and trained operating staff have to be taken into account. Epuramat has developed ExSep models for primary treatment on ships that can even continue the purification process in an ocean swell. Primary treatment is combined with the appropriate subsequent treatment stages.

The concrete industry
There are two reasons behind the high requirement for water in the concrete industry: first, the water required in the actual production of concrete and, second, the process water required e.g. for the daily cleaning of the concrete mixing plants and mixer lorries. Efficient recycling of process water in the concrete industry saves fresh water and wastewater taxes.

The paper industry
Mechanical wood pulp, cellulose, paper and board production operations require high volumes of water. Most of the processes in cellulose and paper production operations occur in an aqueous medium. Considerable savings can be made by recycling the water from the production process.

Recycling
The recycling industry is particularly water-intensive. As a rule, large volumes of water are required to clean the raw materials. Treating and re-using this water in the production process can make huge savings in terms of fresh water and wastewater taxes.
